Hi. Well as yesterday (January 5) was my birthday there were some people that came around and gave me some "birthday beat ups" i don't know if its an annoying traition or what?

Well, I think they're more of a playful tradition, haha. My mom doesn't do that, for one thing, it would take a long time to do 46 smacks, heeheehee. I have a birthday coming up in 4 weeks.

nime was this Wednesday. Beatups meaning, they punch you lets say 14 times which is your current age since that day, and another more, supposeddly for the good luck. Fortunately I just am 14! lol, and fortunately that day was fast and I hope these people don't remember my birthday again1 thanks Caytlin

Hi Caitlin, mine is February 8, not long at all, I'll be 46. Only 4 more years to go, then I'll be at the half century mark, ouch! lol.

My friends are into birthday punches, and one of them has this Russian tradission of pulling your ears really hard a number of times. With one for good luck of course.

Well Alison, that's interesting, only 3 days apart. I don't often runacross people whose birthday is close to mine.

I know ... wait ... how many? ... Erm ... hang on. ... Okay I think it's jsut two. Two blindies, from relatively near my area, born the same day and year as me. Now how scary is that? And also, my birthday is the day that Helen Keller said the word "water." Woot for that hehehehe!
